Brittany Mahomes Throws Shade at ESPN After Husband Patrick Scores First Chiefs Win of the Season

Brittany Mahomes had the last word after her husband Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs came out victorious over the Denver Broncos during Monday Night Football.

After the Chiefs’ season-opener ended with a score of 31-10 on Monday, September 14, the quarterback’s wife, 31, shared a screenshot to her Instagram Story showing ESPN’s picks for their favorite.

Though analysts and commentators Mike Greenberg, Domonique Foxworth, Tedy Bruschi and Rex Ryan all said on the ESPN morning show Get Up that they thought the Broncos would win, it was the Chiefs who ultimately took home the W.

Patrick, 30, and his teammates returned to Arrowhead Stadium, their home field, on Monday night for the team’s first game of the season.

Earlier this summer, the pro athlete hit a major career milestone when it was announced via X by his agency, Equity Sports, that he signed “the largest contract in NFL history… yet again.”

Calling the deal “historic” and “game-changing,” the post noted that Patrick’s contract is valued at $504.75 million.

Patrick, who has been with the Chiefs since 2017, is expected to be tied to the team through 2033.

Last year, Patrick tore his ACL in December, ending his season early.

After Monday night’s game, Patrick told reporters (per Fox News Digital) that when he rushed 15 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, it “was definitely the moment physically where that kind of said all my [rehabilitation] work paid off.”

“Like, I didn’t feel anything,” he added. “And it’s still a process, I still have to keep getting better and better and stay on top of it. But this is obviously a great first week.”
