The Atlanta Falcons quietly updated their logo after facing backlash over its resemblance to Nazi imagery.
On Friday, October 23, the controversial image was replaced with a graphic featuring a red helmet bearing the Falcons logo. The organization has yet to publicly address the latest change or the backlash over the previous image.
Several X users poked fun at the team’s low-key logo change following the backlash.
“Change your pfp back, you cowards! Yall cant give us good football, at least give us the most fire logo/color scheme in the League…” someone wrote.
“Ok so we’re going from the Bird Reich to aliens? What is happening in Atlanta?” another commented.

“I literally switched to a falcons fan because of the logo change but you guys are a bunch of [expletive],” someone shared.
“The Bird Reich shall RISE UP!” a commenter joked, while another chimed in, “Bird Reich or nothing!”
As First for Sports reported on October 22, the Atlanta Falcons faced backlash after unveiling a new profile picture earlier that week. The design drew on the team’s 1966 logo, featuring a red background with white, black, and gold stripes.
Many took to the comments to compare the logo to a swastika, a symbol used on the flag of Nazi Germany, while others said it resembled the German eagle emblem used during World War II.
